Kiwa Bautest GmbH [Kiwa Construction Testing], domiciled in Augsburg and also with several locations in the South and East of Germany, analyzes and certifies materials, products, components and construction processes in various industries, such as construction and mechanical engineering.
Kiwa Bautest evaluates bridges, tunnels, towers and wind turbines. In infrastructure projects, Kiwa Bautest reviews roads, rail tracks and sewer systems. In building complexes, Kiwa Bautest analyzes and evaluates the quality and static structure of foundations, walls, ceilings and roofs. We analyze buildings for compliance with applicable German law in terms of fire safety, accident prevention, sound protection and energy conservation. We analyze buildings with regard to hazardous materials, such as formaldehyde, PCB, PCP, asbestos, radiation or mold. We provide engineering services, such as planning, requests for proposals, construction management and construction monitoring for specialized buildings and rehabilitation projects.
Tests are carried out in laboratories and on site. The Augsburg Central Laboratory of Kiwa Bautest is the registered agency in accordance with the EU Building Product Directive, the Testing, Monitoring and Certification Office approved by the Construction Supervisory Agency, and it has available a laboratory certified for a multitude of tests pursuant to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Since January 1, 2008, Bautest GmbH is part of the Kiwa Germany Group.
